Good morning, New York Giants fans!

Ereck Flowers: Giants “toxic” for him

Let’s just say the former Giants first-round pick, now playing left guard for the Washington Redskins, did not enjoy his time with the team.

Via the New York Post here is Flowers after Sunday’s game:

“Nobody’s more happy not to be here than me,” he said with a laugh after he lost in his return to MetLife Stadium, 24-3, as a member of the Redskins. “I don’t care for it here.” ...

“I wanted to win [in my return], it didn’t come out, but we get another chance down the road,” Flowers said. “Being here for me was just toxic, on the field, off the field. It doesn’t fit me.”

Landon Collins blasts Jabrill Peppers

The Giants new No. 21 got the best of the old No. 21 on Sunday with a Pick Six in a 24-3 victory. The two then had a heated post-game exchange that led Collins to blast Peppers.

Via Bob Glauber of Newsday:

He just started yapping ... If I had a good game, I’m not going to sit there and trash talk the opponent, especially a guy that’s been doing it way longer than you and better than you.”

“He made his first play today in four weeks? I mean, I made plenty of plays in that jersey and I’m still making plays. He just started talking. You know I’m not that kind of person, so for me to get that way [confrontational with Peppers], you’ve got to start talking to me."
