Giants injury report, 9/18: Kevin Zeitler, Cody Latimer not practicing

Giants still may be short-handed at wide receiver

NFL: New York Giants at Carolina Panthers Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

As the New York Giants began the first day of the Daniel Jones era, practicing for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they looked to be without a few key players.

Guard Kevin Zeitler (shoulder) and wide receiver Cody Latimer (concussion) did not appear to be practicing. Cornerback Grant Haley was out due to an illness. Wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who missed last week’s game vs. the Buffalo Bills with a concussion, was wearing a yellow non-contact jersey during the early portion of practice, the only part open to media.

Wide receiver Darius Slayton, yet to play because of lingering hamstring issues, did appear to be practicing.

The 0-2 Giants are currently 7-point underdogs.

Check back later for more details once the Giants release their official injury report.
