Good morning, New York Giants fans!

The rest of Jackrabbit’s remarks

When I posted remarks from an angry Janoris Jenkins on Sunday evening some folks pointed out that there was a particularly biting quote from Jackrabbit missing. That’s because it wasn’t included in the post-game transcript of Jenkins’ remarks.

Here it is:

“When you’ve got time [to throw] and you ain’t getting no pressure, I can’t cover nobody for 10 seconds,” Jenkins said, via NJ.com. “Who can cover somebody for 10 seconds? Go look at the first five seconds of the route. He’s not open. If you’re scrambling and there ain’t no pressure getting there, what do you want me to do? I can’t cover this side and that side. Come on, bro. We’ve got to play football around here.”

We’ll see how that remark plays.

Game notes

  • The Giants fell to 0-2 for the third season in row and fifth time in six years.
  • Saquon Barkley rushed for 107 yards on 18 carries and caught three passes for 28 yards. It was his ninth 100-yard rushing performance in 18 career games, and his 15th game with at least 100 scrimmage yards.
  • Barkley has 98 receptions in 18 career games. He fell two catches short of tying Carolina’s Christian McCaffrey for the fewest games needed to reach 100 catches.
  • Aldrick Rosas missed a 48-yard field goal attempt with 1:49 remaining in the second quarter, ending his streak of 20 consecutive successes, the second-longest in Giants history. In 2018, Rosas’ only miss in 33 attempts was a 52-yard try vs. Philadelphia on Oct. 11.
