There have been multiple reports in recent days that the Minnesota Vikings are trying to find a trade partner for disappointing wide receiver Laquon Treadwell. I’m told that the Giants are one of the teams Minnesota is “trying to entice” into giving them something in return for the 2016 first-round pick.
Should the Giants, trying to piece together a productive group despite the Golden Tate suspension and a rash of injuries, be interested?
Treadwell, 24, has just 56 receptions since Minnesota made him the 23rd overall selection in 2016. He had a career-best 35 in 2018, but averaged a paltry 8.2 yards per catch.
Giants coach Pat Shurmur was was the Vikings in 2016 and 2017, Treadwell’s first two seasons.
Michael Lombardi of The Athletic paints the Vikings as desperate to find someone to give them something for the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Treadwell.
Treadwell is not available for trade, he is available for "giveaway" as everyone in the NFL knows he won't make the Vikings roster thus they need to move him now.

The Giants have two seventh-round picks in the 2020 Draft, having acquired one when they traded Eli Apple to the New Orleans Saints. Would it be worth it for the Giants to use one on Treadwell?
