The Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons will meet at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium Thursday night in Canton, Oh. to kick off the 2019 NFL preseason.
It’ll be the first look at Broncos quarterback Drew Lock, a gunslinging second-round pick in April’s draft, along with first time head coach Vic Fangio. Meanwhile, Atlanta’s Matt Ryan and Julio Jones will look to plant the seeds for another fruitful season. Head coach Dan Quinn will take over on defensive play-calling after dismissing former defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel.
The Hall of Fame will enshrine two Broncos in owner Pat Bowlen and cornerback Champ Bailey. The lone representative from the Falcons will be former tight end Tony Gonzalez, who holds the NFL record for total receiving yards by a tight end (15,127).
Pre-game updates
The Broncos will start Kevin Hogan at quarterback with Joe Flacco sitting out. Per NFL.com, Lock should see plenty of reps in his NFL debut.
