The New York Giants 2019 training camp is only a week old, and full practices have only been underway for five days (as I write this), but a LOT has happened.
Already we have seen a host of injuries to players the Giants really didn’t need to see injured, such as Sterling Shepard, Corey Coleman and Darius Slayton, a player likely to be suspended in Golden Tate, and a pair of receivers signed in Amba Etta-Tawo and TJ Jones.
The Giants also likely lost UDFA S/LB Mark McLaurin to injury, and CB Sam Beal is dealing with a groin/hamstring issue.
That’s a lot of news for four practices.
Also, in what will be Dan’s final (official) podcast with Big Blue View, we couldn’t not talk about that.
[EDITOR’S NOTE: BBV contributor Dan Pizzuta is moving on to work with Sharp Football. It’s a richly-deserved opportunity, and we wish him well].
On this podcast we discuss
- Dan’s news
- Where the Giants stand at wide receiver.
- The Giants’ options’ on the roster.
- How the offense can overcome a depleted wide receiver corps.
- The signings of Etta-Tawo and Jones.
