Kurt Warner: Uncertainty Manning’s greatest challenge
Kurt Warner, who had his job taken by Eli Manning the last time the Giants faced a quarterback transition, said Thursday that the most difficult thing Manning will have to deal with is the uncertainty of when Daniel Jones might play.
“When you’re entrenched as the starter you get the luxury to have a bad game or a bad season or whatever that is,” Warner said. “When you’re a starter and there’s a guy right behind you you don’t always get that luxury.”

The first "we want Daniel" chant hits during Eli's first 11 on 11 session. His answer?A great throw to Sterling Shepard.

It’s been reported that Shepard left practice about half-way through and is getting an X-ray on his thumb. We’ll update you when we know more.
Safety Jabrill Peppers also spent time with trainers when he suffered a cramp during practice.
Coach Shurmur: “Sterling Shepard is having an X-ray taken of his thumb. He came away holding his left hand after going for a pass during practice. Jabrill Peppers experienced cramps late in the practice.”
