Not much is being expected from the New York Giants as their 2019 training camp gets underway. That is pretty obvious from a look at a smattering of recently-released preseason power rankings, none of which show the Giants cracking the top half of teams in the NFL.
The Giants rank anywhere from a low of No. 31 to a high of No. 17.
ProFootballTalk has the Giants at No. 31 and says “It’s becoming more and more clear that this team currently makes all major decisions with a dart and/or Ouija board.”
RealGM Analysis and The Action Network also have the Giants at No. 31.
USA Today has the Giants No. 26 and utters a sentiment Giants fans will agree with, saying “Let’s hope they resurrect before dynamic RB Saquon Barkley’s career is squandered.”
Odds Shark is the outlier, with the Giants at No. 17.
Can the Giants exceed expectations? They get to work on finding out Thursday.
