Janoris Jenkins is traded to the Denver Broncos for a fourth round pick (in this scenario the Broncos move on from Chris Harris Jr), Alec Ogletree nets a fifth rounder, Rhett Ellison and Kareem Martin are released.
Giants are 7-8-1 in this mock draft.
Round 1: Tyler Biadasz, Center
Center is somewhat of an uncertainty for the Giants, especially since Jon Halapio is on a one year contract. Biadasz would still be a huge upgrade to their offensive line.
Round 2: Trey Adams, Offensive Tackle
Similarly with center, the Giants don't have any apparent long term options, so they draft Adams, who can move over to left tackle at some point in his career.
Round 3: Paddy Fisher, Linebacker
Fisher is Ogletree's replacement and a true alpha dog for the Giants defense.
Round 4: David Dowell, Safety
Dowell is the successor to Giants free safety Antonie Bethea and he can develop behind Bethea before becoming the starter in 2021.
Round 4: Matt Bushman, Tight End
Bushman is a quality blocking tight end and red zone threat who would replace Rhett Ellison as the Giants main blocking tight end.
Round 5: Daelin Hayes, EDGE Rusher
With Martin gone, the Giants add a pass rusher to fill out their depth chart.
Round 5: Tyler Vaughns, Wide Receiver
Vaughns is probably gone at this point in the draft, but I just wanted to add another wide receiver in the late rounds, similar to Darius Slayton this year.
Round 6: KirVonte Benson, Running Back
Benson is either a practice squad player or roster filler.
Round 7: Tanner Muse, Safety
If Michael Thomas isn't retained, Muse can take his spot as a back-up safety and special teams player.
