Big Comparasions: Which is/could've been better?

The big question arises; Why?

Why not Dwayne Haskins? He led Ohio State to the College Football Playoffs, multiple big time wins, and finished he CFB career with 5396 passing yards on 70% throwing, 54 passing touchdowns, and only threw 9 interceptions. That seems really good. Daniel Jones number can't be much better, right? right?!

The former Duke QB threw for 8201 yards on 60% passing, 52 TDs and 29 INTs. He led Duke to an 8-5 record, and 56-27 win over Temple.

The only difference? Jones played three years, Haskins played about the equivalent of a year and a quarter.

The Redskins QB played 22 games under Urban Meyer at Ohio State. The Giants QB play 14 more games in his stint at Duke University.

I, personally, am not a big fan of either QB. Another question comes to mind; what if Justin Herbert didn't return to Oregon? Would he have gotten picked? Or is Gettlemen in love with Jones?

I never have loved either of the QBs. I love their play styles, but they both have their flaws.

Dwayne Haskins isn't a dual threat QB. The pro-style going out of style. He's very much a stand in the pocket, never roll out kinda guy. Daniel Jones, while he prefers to stand in the pocket, he has the ability to run very well. The former Duke QB has found a lot of success in a 5-7 step drop and passing to a receiver on the outside, or stepping back into shotgun and being able to run. Haskins was used as a short third down back, or short goal line; put the shoulder down and run between the tackles.

Watching videos of Jones and Duke playing, it was a very together team. It's a very bland term, but it means what it says. Against Temple in the Independence Bowl, the O-line was cohesive, and together. There was good communication threw the whole game. Obviously, there's mishaps, but that's football.

Watching Dwayne Haskins bring Ohio State back against Maryland, a game they should've won convincingly but went to overtime. He had a monster second half, and led OSU to an OT win.

Both would've been viable picks. But, they went with the least fan-favorite. Which, he could be the future of the franchise, if coached and treated right by the crew.

Never saw me ever saying this, but Daniel Jones could be up next.
