As some of our longer tenured members may remember, in years past Big Blue View has hosted a community mock draft. Traditionally, members would sign up and play general manager for each team and we would run a mock draft during the lead up to the actual NFL draft.
This year Ed and I decided we wanted to do something a little bit different.
Rather than run a mock draft over days and weeks and limit the fun to only the members who are able to sign up, we decided to condense it into two days and let everyone weigh in.
So, Monday we will begin what we have dubbed the “Draft-A-Thon.”
The way this will work is that I will be running The Draft Network’s draft simulator, while creating a poll for each of the New York Giants’ picks, complete with the players drafted before and which prospects are still on the board. The Big Blue View community will then vote on who they want the Giants to pick, and once the results are in, I will continue with the draft.
We will be holding the first three rounds on Monday, while rounds four through seven will take place on Tuesday. The polls will also only be open for a limited time: 90 minutes for picks 6 and 17, 60 minutes for rounds two and three. Then on Tuesday, the poll for each pick will only be open for 45 minutes to keep things moving along.
No sign-up is necessary, so if you want to join in, just keep an eye on Big Blue View starting at 9 a.m. Monday!
