Good morning, New York Giants fans!

Giants’ Saquon Barkley doesn’t want to hear Eli Manning can’t play | SNY

Running back Saquon Barkley isn’t having the criticism of the Giants’ quarterback.

”Yeah it bothers me,” Barkley told Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks. “I’m not gonna lie because it’s not his fault. He’s not the reason why. We love to put the blame on one person, but it takes 11 men, a team, an organization all together to win.”

No matter which side of the Manning debate you are on, this is why Barkley is now the face of the Giants franchise.

NFL draft 2019: Daniel Jones will be a first-round pick, per Duke coach |

Duke coach David Cutcliffe is doubling down on the idea that Daniel Jones will be a star in the NFL. Below, a question he was asked by Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated, followed by his answer:

You have an idea of how these guys project out. Is Daniel, in your mind, going to be a first-round pick?

“Absolutely,” Cutcliffe said from his office on Thursday morning. “I can’t imagine there’s someone out there more equipped, top to bottom, in this draft or in the next draft if he had stayed, than he is to be an NFL quarterback. A starter. A star. People that evaluate a lot of this don’t know it. They haven’t seen every one-on-one drill… seven-on-seven. They haven’t seen those things. I have. And yeah, he is [a first-round pick], he’s going to follow in those footsteps if he stays healthy.”

Dane Brugler’s updated quarterback rankings: A talented yet flawed group – The Athletic

Brugler writes the following in this subscription only piece:

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder at the position, which is especially important to remember with this year’s talented yet flawed group. Some NFL teams are believers in Kyler Murray, while others aren’t. Some NFL teams believe Dwayne Haskins is the top passer in the draft, while others think Drew Lock will be a better NFL player. And opinions only become more diverse the deeper into the position.”

Brugler’s rankings, with round grades:

  1. Dwayne Haskins, Round 1
  2. Kyler Murray, Round 1
  3. Drew Lock, Rounds 1-2
  4. Daniel Jones, Round 2
  5. Will Grier, Rounds 3-4

Here are the seven trades that need to happen before the 2019 NFL Draft -

Yes, Josh Rosen to the Giants is on the list. Here, the cost is the 17th overall pick.

Houston Cougars' Ed Oliver turns in prolific pro day -

The Houston defensive lineman turned in an insane Pro Day on Thursday, registering the following numbers at 6-foot-2, 287 pounds:

  • A 4.73 40-yard dash, akin to Anquan Boldin (4.72).
  • A 4.22 in the short shuttle drill, topping Saquon Barkley (4.24).
  • A 7.15 three-cone time, besting Jason Pierre-Paul (7.18).
  • A 36-inch vertical jump, just shy of Von Miller (37).
  • A 10-foot broad jump, equaling Amari Cooper.

If the Giants are intent on adding a defensive player with the sixth overall pick, Oliver has to be in the discussion.

Eagles acquire Bears RB Jordan Howard in trade -

Dallas Cowboys trade for Dolphins DE Robert Quinn -
