A visit from former NFL scout and ESPN analyst Matt Williamson, current host of the Locked on NFL podcast, highlights this edition of the ‘Valentine’s Views’ podcast.
Among the highlights:
- The Giants offseason has been “a little confusing,” but has created a “comfortable nest” for whoever comes in to follow Eli Manning at quarterback.
- The offseason could look a lot better if the Giants get “two really high end defensive players” in the draft.
- Williamson would “strongly consider” giving up the 37th pick for Josh Rosen.
- Manning will be “a great role model” for whoever the next quarterback is.
- Williamson believes this is the year to get a quarterback to learn from Manning.
- Moving Odell Beckham Jr. might have had something to do with making life more comfortable for whoever their young quarterback will be.
Also, Ed offers his thoughts on Dave Gettleman saying the Giants have had a good offseason, and Pat Shurmur commenting that when he meets quarterback prospects he asks himself “Do I want to coach this guy?”
