The Houston Texans are in position to win the AFC South, needing a victory over the Buccaneers this weekend. They’re building off of last year’s success, with back to back winning seasons. MVP candidate quarterback Deshaun Watson is a big reason why this team is winning. The Texans recently beat the Titans in a close fight 24-21
Tampa Bay might have a lot of issues and a quarterback who throws a lot of interceptions, but right now they’re close to finishing 2019 with a winning record. While Jameis Winston has thrown a ton of interceptions, he’s still throwing for gaudy passing totals. Last week they beat an unimpressive Lions team 38-17.
Buffalo Bills (10-4) at New England Patriots (11-3)
Game time: 4:30 p.m. ET
Where: Gillette Stadium
Referee: John Hussey
TV Channel: NFL Network
Announcers: Mike Tirico, Kurt Warner, Peter Schrager
Radio: Westwood One: Scott Graham, Ross Tucker, Hub Arkush | SIRIUS: 82 (Buf), 83 (NE) | XM: 227 (Buf), 226 (NE)
Odds: Bills -6.5
SB Nation websites: Bills: Buffalo Rumblings | Patriots: Pats Pulpit
The Bills are challenging the New England Patriots for the AFC East title, potentially ending the Patriots reign over the division. The Bills defense is one of the best in the NFL, with cornerback Tre’Davious White limiting opposing receivers and quarterbacks. Last week he had two interceptions in a win over the Steelers.
The Patriots still are having a successful season, needing a win tonight to lock up the AFC East. Their strongest asset this season is their defense and corner Stephon Gilmore. They’re coming off an easy win over the Bengals 34-13
Los Angeles Rams (8-6) at San Francisco 49ers (11-3)
Game time: 8:15 p.m. ET
Where: Levi’sStadium
Referee: Clete Blakeman
TV Channel: NFL Network
Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt, Charles Davis, Pam Oliver
Radio: Westwood One: Ryan Radtke, Terrell Davis, Scott Kaplan (field reporter) SIRIUS: 82 (LAR), 83 (SF) | XM: 227 (LAR), 226 (SF)
Odds: 49ers -7.0
SB Nation websites: Rams: Turf Show Times | 49ers: Niners Nation
The night is capped off with another hot matchup with playoff implications on the line. The Rams are just barely staying afloat, needing to win every week in order to make the playoffs. Last week they were embarrassed by the Cowboys 44-21.
The 49ers are also hoping to rebound from an unexpected loss. Last week they fell to the Falcons on the final play 29-22. Their dominance in 2019 comes from their impressive defense and DROY favorite Nick Bosa.
