The New York Giants and New York Jets, two floundering franchises badly in need of a reset, get a chance for that Sunday when they face off at 1 p.m. ET in the building they share, MetLife Stadium.
The 1-7 Jets, coming off a loss to the previously winless Miami Dolphins, will be the host team. The 2-7 Giants will enter the game with a five-game losing streak.
Pat Shurmur, now 7-18 as Giants head coach, is facing increasing scrutiny.
The Giants will be without Sterling Shepard (concussion) and tight end Evan Engram (foot). They are also expected to be without starting center Jon Halapio (hamstring) and could be without right tackle Mike Remmers (back).
The Giants are 2-point favorites.
