Tuzar Skipper is going back to where he came from.

The New York Giants are losing Skipper off their practice squad as he is being signed to the 53-man roster of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Giants initially were awarded Skipper, an edge rusher, off waivers from the Steelers on Sept. 9. He played in six games with two tackles, a half-sack, a quarterback hit and a fumble recovery. Skipper was dropped from the roster on Oct. 22 when the Giants signed Deone Bucannon and added to the practice squad a day later.

Skipper began the season on the Steelers’ 53-man roster, but was waived. Skipper told Big Blue View that at the time he expected to land on the Steelers’ practice squad. The Giants’ claim, of course, changed that.

Steelers fans were despondent when the Giants claimed the undrafted free agent who had an outstanding preseason. Now, they get a fan favorite back.
