Good morning, New York Giants fans!
A new experience for Golden Tate
Wide receiver Golden Tate was on Monday about how players would handle being 2-8. The 10-year veteran said it’s a position he has never been in.
“I can just imagine that at the end of the day we all have a job to do. No matter what the circumstances are, we’re supposed to show up to work and be professionals in what we do, and I can’t imagine doing it any other way beside giving it my all and just go 1-0 each week,” Tate said. “Besides that, although the record isn’t what we want, there are still jobs that are on the line. I’m going to try to set myself up for next year and the year after that. Just continue to show up to work with a positive attitude. I’m excited to play football and see what happens.”
Leonard Williams on his Giant adjustment
Williams, traded to the Giants from the New York Jets, has been with his new team for three weeks now. He said Monday his adjustment has gone “really well.”
“I’ve been enjoying my coaches, enjoying my teammates, everyone has been accepting me in pretty well,” Williams said. “I feel like I pretty much already know the playbook now at this point. The first week or two weeks, it was like — actually the very first week — I felt like I was a little hesitant on the field just because I was thinking about plays in the back of my head and stuff like that, to where now I’m more fluent with what I’m doing. I know the guys, so I can walk around and joke around with some of the guys, which is important.”
Williams is still sack-less this season, but had a season-high four quarterback hits vs. the Jets in Week 10. He was also credited with two hurries.
