A national TV audience will get to see what the New York Giants are all about as the 2-6 Giants face the NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys (4-3) on Monday Night Football, capping off Week 9 of the NFL season.
This will be the first time rookie quarterback Daniel Jones faces Dallas. Eli Manning was at quarterback when the Giants lost to Dallas 35-17 in Week 1. We will have to see how “little Manning” fares against the Cowboys.
The Giants have lost four straight games. The Cowboys have had an up and down season. They started 3-0, lost three straight and then routed the Philadelphia Eagles last week, 37-10.
The game will mark the debut for the Giants of Leonard Williams, the defensive tackle acquired in a trade with the New York Jets. The Giants will be without wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who is back in the concussion protocol.
In the first meeting between the teams, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott completed 25 of 32 passes for 405 yards, four touchdowns and a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
