Good morning, New York Giants fans!
Giants drop Jake Carlock
Practice squad linebacker Jake Carlock had his contract terminated by the Giants on Tuesday, perhaps in anticipation of adding Tae Davis to the practice squad if/when he clears waivers.
I would like to thank the @Giants organization for the opportunity of a lifetime. I have made memories that will last a lifetime. Everything happens for a reason and I am eager to see what the future holds.

Breaking Down the Leonard Williams Trade
WFAN’s Mike Francesa rips Giants-Jets Leonard Williams trade | ‘What are you doing?’ - nj.com
“It makes no sense,” said Francesa. “From the Jets standpoint, it makes sense. They weren’t signing the guy, they got two draft picks … he’s going to be a free agent, why are you giving up two picks to get him? And you still got to pay him! What are you renting him for the second half on a team that’s 2-6?”
As for the Giants, just about everyone knows there’s no love lost between Francesa and the team, who’s been killing general manager Dave Gettleman all season. Monday’s deal gave Francesa more reason to dump on the Giants, per WFAN:
“It just shows you, again, one step one way, another step another way. One day they’re trading players, the next day they’re trading for players at 2-6 and giving up draft picks! For a guy who you’ve got to pay to keep! … What are you doing, making a playoff run here? You can get him for free when the season is over! It’s typical Gettleman. Explain to me what he is doing here … you gave up your third-round pick for this guy, why? To finish what, 4-12 or 5-11?”
