The New York Giants trail the Detroit Lions 17-13 going into halftime.
In a rare occurrence, the Giants offense took the field first as the Lions won the coin toss and elected to defer.
It was the Lions who scored first when Devon Kennard scooped up a Daniel Jones lateral to Saquon Barkley which wasn’t caught and returned it for a touchdown. The Lions quickly scored again on their next possession on a 49-yard touchdown catch by Marvin Hall to go up 14-0.
The Giants responded with a touchdown of their own when Daniel Jones connected with Darius Slayton for 22- and 28-yard touchdowns of their own.
The Giants had the chance to get the ball at the two-minute warning, but the Lions’ drive was extended by a terrific acting job by their punter to draw a phantom penalty on 4th and 4.
The Lions will get the ball to start the second half, use this as your second-half open thread.
