The New York Giants head to Foxborough, Mass. Thursday night to take on the New England Patriots.

Giants fans will be hoping quarterback Daniel Jones puts on another show, and gets some help from the NFL’s third-worst defense.

Unfortunately, New England’s NFL-best defense has have given up 34 points through 5 games, marking the fifth-fewest since the 1970 merger. Wow!

To make matters worse, the Giants will be severely under-manned on offense. Saquon Barkley (high ankle sprain), Evan Engram (sprained MCL), Wayne Gallman (concussion) and Sterling Shepard (concussion) are all out.

At running back, the Giants will feature undrafted rookie free agent Jon Hilliman and fullback Elijhaa Penny. Undrafted rookie Austin Walter is on the practice squad and could be added for depth prior to Thursday’s game.

At receiver, Golden Tate, Cody Latimer and Darius Slayton figure to be the primary three.

If there’s any silver lining for the Giants, the Patriots’ offensive line has shown some holes. Perhaps the Giants defensive line can get some decent pressure on Patriots QB Tom Brady.

Linebackers Alec Ogletree and Tae Davis, who missed last Sunday’s game vs. Minnesota, are not on the injury report and are expected to play.

For the Patriots, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett is out with a hamstring injury.
