2019 East-West Shrine Game: Game time, TV channel, prospects, more

Which players could catch the Giants’ eye at the East-West Shrine Game today?

NCAA Football: Nicholls State at Kansas Amy Kontras-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Saturday New York Giants fans! After a layoff we have prospects for the 2019 NFL Draft playing football on a Satuday afternoon.

The East-West Shrine game is the lesser of the two “big” All-Star games which mark the start of Draft Season. The Senior Bowl (which will be played next week) garners most of the attention, but this week players who have flown under the radar or went to smaller schools get their chance to shine.

Every year there are players who were overlooked throughout the college season who use this game — and the week of practices — to begin to gather momentum before April’s draft. This year the big winner might be Kansas’ Daniel Wise [Prospect Profile] who dominated practice throughout the week, and was “unblockable” according to observers.
