The New York Giants have wasted no time in beginning to construct the 90-man roster they will begin the 2019 season with. The Giants on Monday signed nine players to reserve/futures contracts.

The players are:

RB Robert Martin
WR Brittan Golden
OL Jylan Ware
OL Victor Salako
DE Jake Ceresna
LB Myles Humphrey
LB Jonathan Anderson
CB Ronald Zamort
LS Taybor Pepper

Martin, Ware, Salako, Humphrey and Zamort were on the Giants’ practice squad for all or at least part of the 2018 season.

Pepper is likely protection in the event that Zak DeOssie decided to retire. Ceresna is a defensive end who had eight sacks for the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos in 2018. Golden had a tryout with the Giants in August, during which a mouth tumor was discovered.
