Good morning, New York Giants fans! Let’s check the headlines as we move closer and closer to Sunday’s season-opening game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Davis Webb “didn’t agree” with Giants’ decision
After joining the New York Jets practice squad on Tuesday, former Giants backup quarterback Davis Webb told Jets media that he “didn’t agree” with the team’s decision to move on from him.
“I didn’t need a reason,” Webb said. “They made a decision. I didn’t agree with it, I don’t think many of the people did — especially my teammates. But at the same time, I’ve moved on and I wish them nothing but the best.”
Webb admitted the move caught him by surprise.
“You never see it coming,” Webb said. “I think everybody was kind of shocked. But at the same time they made a decision, and I don’t have to agree with it but I’m excited to be here and be the best teammate I can be and continue to grow as a quarterback.”

Michael Kist of Bleeding Green Nation put together an ‘NFC East Supercast’ on Tuesday, a podcast previewing all of Philadelphia Eagles’ division rivals. Yours truly joined the show, and would encourage you to give it a listen. Yes, I know, Eagles yada, yada, yada. Bleeding Green Nation, blah, blah, blah.
This, however, was a nice, friendly show with a knowledgeable host. It’s worth your time.
