Sights and sounds of the Giants’ second joint practice with the Lions

A glimpse into the Giants’ Wednesday practice with the Lions

NFL: New York Giants-OTA Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants had the second of their three joint practices with the Detroit Lions Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately, Big Blue View is unable to attend these practices. Likewise, Lions’ policy prohibits the filming of the team portions of practice, so we can’t bring you any of the 7-on-7, 11-on-11, or situational drills. We can, however, bring you a glimpse of the sights and sounds of the first part of practice.

We are once thankful for our friends at Pride of Detroit for providing a practice report.

On the field

Time for warm-ups. Saquon Barkley is still “day to day” with a mild hamstring strain. Once again he was on the field with his teammates, but didn’t have his pads or do much work.

With Odell Beckham Jr. all warmed up, Lions fans got to see a show towhich the Giants, and Giants fans have become well-accustomed since 2014 — Beckham snaring one-handed passes like Spider-Man in cleats.

Note: That left leg is Saquon’s injured one, so it can’t be too badly dinged.
