Our friends over at Arrowhead Pride, SB Nation’s Kansas City Chiefs website, have apparently been spending too much time in the summer sun. They’ve gone juuuust a little bit insane.
That is the only way I can describe their idea of trading Tyreek Hill straight up for New York Giants superstar Odell Beckham Jr.
To be fair, at least AP’s Pete Sweeney realizes that such a trade is a “never-going-to-happen” fantasy.
The utterly flabbergasting aspect of this, at least to me, is that of of Saturday afternoon 92 percent of the nearly 2,800 voters in the Beckham for Hill poll at Arrowhead Pride said they would not make the deal.
Sorry, but as wonderful a player as Tyreek Hill is those people have lost their minds. Hill is a wonderful player, but he’s not Beckham. He’s also a guy, in my view, completely reliant on that blazing 4.21 40-yard dash speed.
Am I the crazy one? Am I undervaluing Hill? Overvaluing Beckham? You tell me.
