Attention! Your BBV staff is changing, expanding

As training camp nears for the Giants, it is time to share some exciting news and update everyone about developments here at Big Blue View. We are getting ready for the new season with some staff promotions and additions that we are thrilled to be able to tell you about.

-- Chris Pflum has long been the No. 2 guy here at BBV. We’re making that formal and promoting Chris to the title of “Deputy Manager.” Congrats, Chris!

-- Mark Schofield is joining the staff. If you aren’t familiar with Mark’s work from Inside the Pylon, Bleacher Report and more, Mark is in my view maybe the pre-eminent QB analyst on the blogosphere. We have often used him as an expert analyst, and now he will offer his thoughts regularly. Will the Giants be right about Eli Manning? Big Blue View will be the place where you will be able to find out.

-- Pat Traina, who has been covering the Giants from the inside for 20 years and is as knowledgeable as anyone I know, has been with us for a while. Pat will take on an expanded writing role, doubling the amount she has been producing for us. BBV is better, and smarter, for that. Pat and I also co-host the ‘Locked on Giants’ podcast, which we hope you are listening to.

-- Dan Pizzuta, whose analysis, film study and knowledge of the entire league is so good I can’t believe a big outlet hasn’t snapped him up full time, will also be expanding his role. As part of that, Dan will be our Fantasy Football expert.

-- Andrea Hangst, who currently writes for SB Nation’s Dawgs By Nature and has written for Sports on Earth, Bleacher Report and Forbes, will be joining the staff to help us with breaking news and more. It’s our good fortune that she was available. She joins Kevin Haswell in that role.

In my humble opinion there isn’t a more talented, knowledgeable group of writers on any other SB Nation football site. Or, for that matter, covering the Giants anywhere.
