Reports surfaced Tuesday that a body was found in the basement of a home belonging to New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins.
Fair Lawn police confirmed to the Ridgewood Daily Voice that the house is indeed Jenkins’.
The cornerback is currently in Florida, where Diana Russini of ESPN is reporting that he has been since mini-camp broke. The Giants completed mandatory mini-camp on June 14.
Jordan Ranaan is reporting that the Giants are aware of, and monitoring the situation.
The identity of the deceased is has not been released, if it is even known at this point. Investigators from the Bergen County Sheriff’s department are on the scene and gathering information.
Per law enforcement sources, police are investigating a possible strangulation/suffocation as the cause of death in the case of the body found at Giants CB Janoris Jenkins’ home.
