There was never going to be a choice for the New York Giants with the second overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft that met with unanimous approval from the team’s divided fan base. The selection of running back Saquon Barkley, though, comes pretty close.
In our poll asking fans to grade the pick, 69 percent (2,718) of the 3,921 voters gave the selection an ‘A.’ Another 17 percent (653 voters) gave the pick a ‘B.’ That makes a full 86 percent of those who voted happy with the Giants’ choice.
We will have much more throughout the day on reaction to the Barkley pick, as well as a look toward what will happen Friday night on Day 2 of the draft. Will it be time for hog mollies? Don’t miss our look at best available players for the Giants in Round 2.
