Who will be the punter for the New York Giants? Fans have been asking about that since the Giants parted ways with Brad Wing a few weeks ago. Well, it appears that we now have the answer. They are apparently trading for Denver Broncos punter Riley Dixon.
Sources: The #Giants are in the process of trading for #Broncos P Riley Dixon. When Marquette King signed in Denver, he was on the trading block and NYG swooped in.

Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Giants are surrendering only a conditional 2019 seventh-round pick. So, virtually nothing for a chance to see if Dixon can be their punter. Per Spotrac, Dixon will carry a cap hit of $650,002 in 2018.
A Syracuse grad, the 24-year-old Dixon was a seventh-round pick by Denver in 2016. He averaged 45.7 yards per punt for the Broncos over two seasons.
Dixon had a net average of 40.2 yards per punt last season. Wing averaged 46.7 yards.
The Giants could still be in the market for a veteran placekicker to, at least, provide competition for Aldrick Rosas after his inconsistent rookie season.
