With only 10 days to go before the 2018 NFL Draft, let’s look at what the mock drafts are predicting for the New York Giants with the second overall pick.
Quarterbacks are chosen for the Giants in 24 of the 55 mocks (45.4 percent) in our tracker. Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold are each chosen 10 times, or 18.2 percent of the time. Josh Allen was the choice three times and Baker Mayfield once.
The player most often mocked to the Giants is Penn State running back Saquon Barkley. He was chosen in 12 of the 55 mocks, of 21.8 percent. North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb was the choice in 10 mocks.
Quarterback, Barkley, Chubb. That seems to be what the choice will come down to. Everyone, of course, has an opinion on what name should be on the card when GM Dave Gettleman turns it in on April 26.
Right now, though, I’m not sure Gettleman even knows which name will be written on it.
