So, the Philadelphia Eagles have the Lombardi Trophy. Good for them. Every self-respecting New York Giants fan — shoot, every NFL fan — knows that Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. really won Super Bowl 52 by reprising the end of “Dirty Dancing” for an NFL promo.
But, with Beckham running around in the commercial after having fractured his ankle in Week 5 of the 2017 season the big question is when was that commercial shot?
The Giants PR staff says the bit was filmed just two weeks ago. Which means, of course, that Beckham is moving around pretty well on that ankle. Dancing, running lightly. That can only be taken as a good sign that he is well on the road to recovery.
As for Eli’s dance moves? Well, he gets an ‘A’ for effort but he isn’t Patrick Swayze. Still that commercial is better than Eli’s other Super Bowl effort.
For thirty teams, Super Bowl isn’t the end of the season – it’s the start of next season. Watch Eli, @OBJ_3, @TheHumble_21 and the @Giants O-line put in the work in our #SBLII commercial. pic.twitter.com/QP6UducMYa
