NFL: Washington Redskins at New York Giants Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

It will be a cool, mostly cloudy day just outside of Washington DC when the New York Giants take the field against the Washington Redskins.

Winter Storm Diego is dumping snow and cold rain across Virginia and the Carolinas, but today there is no chance of rain (or snow) in the forecast at FedEx Field.

And it’s just as well as the Giants are trying to get their first divisional win of the season while closing the door on Washington’s Wild Card hopes, and hoping to do so without their most reliable receiver.

While the Giants’ injury situation doesn’t compare to that of Washington, they took a pair of big hits this week in the loss of Landon Collins and Odell Beckham Jr. Collins is done for the season with a shoulder injury, while Beckham is out for this week with a quad bruise.

Apart from Collins and Beckham, previous inactives — TE Evan Engram, and linebackers B.J. Goodson, Lorenzo Carter, and Tae Davis — practiced in some capacity this week.

The Giants have also announced that rookie QB Kyle Lauletta will once again be Eli Manning’s back-up, raising the possibility that he will see in-game action.

Today’s inactives

  • WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quad)
  • TE Garrett Dickerson
  • QB Alex Tanney
  • S Kenny Ladler
  • OL Evan Brown
  • DT John Jenkins
  • CB Tony Lippett
