Happy Sunday and game day, New York Giants fans. Today, we have a Sunday afternoon matchup between the Giants (5-9) and the Indianapolis Colts (8-6).

Sunday’s matchup will be extremely tough for Big Blue. Led by quarterback Andrew Luck, the Colts have been on fire as of late. After starting the season 1-5, Indianapolis has reeled off seven wins in its last eight games. Colts rookie running back Marlon Mack has been a huge reason for their success, averaging 4.8 yards per carry this season, including seven touchdowns. Andrew Luck looks to be back in form this season, passing for 3,951 yards and 34 touchdowns this season.

The Giants are coming off their worst loss since their Week 6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, when they fell 34-13. New York will look to get running back Saquon Barkley back on track this week, who rushed for just 31 yards on 14 carries in last week’s 17-0 loss to the Tennessee Titans. On the season, Barkley has averaged 5.2 yards per carry, while scoring nine touchdowns for Big Blue, earning him a Pro Bowl spot in his first NFL season. When Barkley goes, the offense follows.

The Giants will play without Landon Collins (IR/torn labrum) and Odell Beckham Jr. (quad). The Giants are 9.5-point underdogs. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. EST.

First half updates

Giants go up two scores after two possessions.

Giants take 7-0 first-quarter lead.

Pre-game updates

Inactives:

Fans will be upset about rookie quarterback Kyle Lauletta being inactive, but the Giants are telling us a lot about what they think of the rookie with this move. NFL uniforms aren’t gifted, and by not activating Lauletta when they are out of the playoff chase the Giants are sending a loud and clear message that he hasn’t earned one.

If Lauletta hasn’t done enough to earn a uniform at this point, that probably is not a good sign for his Giants’ future.

Interesting tidbit of news here.

Punter Riley Dixon arrives in style.
