Which Colts’ player would you choose for the Giants?

Vote in the poll!

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

When the New York Giants played the Chicago Bears a couple of weeks ago we asked you whether you would prefer quarterback Mitchell Trubisky or All-Pro linebacker Khalil Mack if you could have one of them for the Giants.

Overwhelming (77 percent to 23 percent) voters in in our poll chose Mack, the extraordinary pass rusher.

The Giants face the Indianapolis Colts this week. Let’s go through that exercise again. which of the following three Colts’ players would you choose if you could bring one to the Giants?

Quarterback Andrew Luck — The Giants need a long-term answer at quarterback. Luck is playing as well as ever after missing a year with a shoulder issue. He is still just 29 and has several years of elite play left.

Guard Quenton Nelson — The Giants could have had Nelson in the 2018 NFL Draft. He would make a tremendous guard tandem with Will Hernandez, though one would have to move to the right side.

Linebacker Darius Leonard — The rookie linebacker has a strong case for Defensive Rookie of the Year. He leads the league in tackles. He can play the run, rush the passer and hold up in coverage against wide receivers. Wouldn’t that be something? A do-it-all linebacker on the Giants.
