Happy Sunday and game day, New York Giants fans. Today, we have a Sunday afternoon matchup between the Giants (5-8) and the Tennessee Titans (7-6).
Sunday’s matchup is between two teams coming off big wins. The Titans blew out the Jacksonville Jaguars last Thursday, 30-9. Derrick Henry had one of the best games of the season out of any running back, rushing for 238 yards on 17 carries, including four touchdowns. Tennessee is currently on the outside looking in the AFC playoff picture, because of a tiebreaker with the Baltimore Ravens, who are also 7-6. This is a must-win game for the Titans.
The Giants are also coming off a blowout win, theirs, at the hands of the Washington Redskins, 40-16. Saquon Barkley exposed the Redskins effort, rushing for 170 yards on 14 carries, including a touchdown. Barkley also had four catches for 27 yards. The Giants need to win on Sunday to keep their slim playoff hopes alive in the NFC Wild Card picture.
The Giants will play without Odell Beckham Jr. (quad) and Landon Collins (IR/torn labrum). The Giants are 1.5-point favorites. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. EST
