NFL Draft power rankings: Giants stay put at No. 2 following bye week

New York sits behind only the Oakland Raiders when it comes to draft capital

The New York Giants had a bye in Week 9, following a touchdown loss at the hands of the Washington Redskins. Following their bye week, New York has a 1-7 record and would have the No. 1 selection in the 2019 NFL Draft. Every week comes out with its 2019 NFL Draft Power Rankings, so let's take a look at where the Giants are heading into thre second half of the season.

The Giants come in at No. 2 in draft value, with a score of 3,845.0. New York sits just behind the Oakland Raiders, who, after trades of Amari Cooper and Khalil Mack, have three selections in the first round of next year’s draft. The Giants are the only team in the NFC East in the top 10 of this week’s rankings.

Following the Week 9 games, Bleacher Report writer Ryan McCrystal came out with his 2019 NFL Mock Draft. McCrystal has the Giants taking Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert with the No. 1 selection. Here’s a look at how the top 10 selections stack up on McCrystal’s mock draft.

As the Giants look forward to their Week 10 matchup with the San Fransisco 49ers, fans should start to look towards the future. With the draft picks the team currently has in hand, Giants fans should be excited.
