Tight end Evan Engram also still sidelined

The New York Giants had a concerning change to their injury report on Thursday as rookie linebacker Lorenzo Carter missed practice with a hip injury.

Carter had been listed as “limited” on Wednesday. If the third-round pick is unable to play, the Giants already-anemic pass rush (31st with 14 sacks, 32nd with 3.2 percent sack rate) would take another hit. Carter is tied for the team lead with two sacks and his 20 quarterback pressures trails only Olivier Vernon (21).

Also, it looks like tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) could sit out another week. He did not practice on Thursday. Engram was injured Sunday during pre-game warmups.
