The Washington Redskins have claimed linebacker Reuben Foster on waivers.
Foster was cut by the San Francisco 49ers after he was arrested for domestic violence.

This was the second such complaint against Foster since being drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft. This was as also his third arrest of the season.
Foster will not be allowed to practice with or play for his new team right away because he is being placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List while the NFL investigates the domestic violence charges.
Washington's senior vice president of player personnel released the following statement with regards to claiming Foster.

This isn't the first time Washington has taken a chance on a player cut due to domestic violence allegations. They had previously signed EDGE rusher Junior Gallette after he had been waived by the New Orleans Saints. Running back Adrian Peterson has also had to deal with the aftermath of a child abuse charge when he was with the Minnesota Vikings.
It remains to be seen what the fallout will ultimately be for Foster and Washington.
