Thanks to the NFC East being a muddled, mediocre mess the 3-7 New York Giants can still dream about an unlikely playoff run after a 1-7 start to the season. No stumbles, though, are allowed. Including Sunday in Philadelphia when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles, a team that has been their Kryptonite — 17 losses in 22 games, including eight of the past nine — for much of the past decade.
Can the Giants, thrashed by the Eagles in Week 6 at MetLife Stadium 34-13, turn the tables? Can they continue what they dream will be an unheard of run to the playoffs after winning just one game the first half of the season?
The Eagles are 4-6, but are still the defending Super Bowl champs and a step up in class from the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the teams the Giants defeated the past two weeks.
