Rivalries: Giants-Eagles is big, but not the biggest

According to our poll results, at least

The New York Giants’ game this week against the Philadelphia Eagles is a big one. It will tell us whether the Giants have just had a nice little run the past two weeks, a respite in a losing year, or if they actually should be taken seriously in the NFC East.

There is also the fact that it is the NFC East-rival Eagles. In Philly. Is it, though, the Giants’ biggest rivalry game. Voters in our recent FanPulse survey asking which team is the Giants’ biggest rival didn’t think so. Those voters, at least 49 percent of them, chose the Dallas Cowboys as the biggest rival. The Eagles were chosen by 46 percent.

Do you agree or disagree?

When it comes to rivalries, apparently no one really sees the Giants as a true rival. At least not if you go by the results of the Fanpulse polls for the Eagles (Bleeding Green Nation), Cowboys (Blogging the Boys) and Redskins (Hogs Haven). No Redskins fans consider the Giants their top rival? Ouch!
