Yes, sadly we have already reached the point in time — less than halfway through the 2018 season — where the 2019 NFL Draft order is something to pay attention to. Especially since at the moment the 1-5 New York Giants own the No. 1 overall pick.

Cue the Justin Herbert watch.

The Indianapolis Colts (2), Arizona Cardinals (3) and Oakland Raiders (4) are also 1-5. The 1-4 San Francisco 49ers are fifth in the current order, and face the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.

Next Monday’s Giants’ opponent, the 2-4 Atlanta Falcons, currently have the sixth overall pick.

Per Tankathon, the Giants are second in the overall 2019 Draft Power Rankings. Using the Jimmy Johnson draft value chart, Tankathon assigns the Giants 3,736 points worth of draft picks. Only the Colts, with 4, 046, have more.
