The Denver Broncos have hired former New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan to be their new quarterbacks coach.

Sullivan joined the Giants in 2004, coaching wide receivers and quarterbacks under Tom Coughlin until he was hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as offensive coordinator following the 2011 season.
He was the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator through the 2013 season.
Sullivan returned to the Giants in 2015 to once again be Eli Manning’s quarterbacks coach, and was promoted to offensive coordinator when Ben McAdoo became the Giants head coach. He is a widely respected coach and has generally forged good relationships with players. He has had a long and successful relationship with Manning, coaching him to his best season in 2011.
Sullivan is the first of the Giants’ assistant coaches to find a new job following the 2017 season, an indication of his status around the league. The Broncos have struggled badly at the quarterback position since Peyton Manning’s final year They must obviously believe that Sullivan can help them in that regard, whether it is developing Paxton Lynch, working with a free agent, or developing a rookie from the 2018 NFL draft.
