The Conference Championship round of the NFL playoffs continues Sunday night as the Minnesota Vikings travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The game is slated to start at 6:40 p.m. and can be found on FOX.
The Vikings come into Sunday’s game following one of the best playoff games in recent history, with a 29-24 win over the New Orleans Saints. With :10 left in the game, Case Keenum fired a pass down the sideline to Stefan Diggs, who dodged one defender on his way to a 61-yard game-winning touchdown as time expired to punch Minnesota’s ticket to the NFC Championship Game. Keenum finished the win completing 25-of-40 passes for 318 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The Vikings defense is what won them this game, allowing Saints’ running backs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram to combine for only a measly 68 yards. On top of that, the Vikings’ defense intercepted Drew Brees twice. Another performance like they had on Sunday and the Vikings will be heading to their first Super Bowl since 1976.
The Eagles come into Sunday’s game following a low-scoring 15-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional Round of the NFC Playoffs. Philadelphia quarterback Nick Foles completed 23-of-30 passes for 246 yards. Jay Ajayi led the Eagles on the ground, rushing for 54 yards on 15 carries. LeGarrette Blount scored the only Eagles touchdown with a 1-yard rush in the first quarter. The Eagles defense came up huge in stopping the Falcons potent run game. Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman combined for just 86 yards. The Eagles will try to slow down both Jerrick McKinnon and Latavious Murray on Sunday and force Keenum to beat them through the air.
The Vikings are 4.5-point favorites.
