The Detroit Lions have apparently told other candidates for their head-coaching position they won’t be getting the job, meaning that New England Patriots’ defensive coordinator Matt Patricia will. In the process, Patricia will apparently be spurning the New York Giants.
There is also a report that another Giants’ candidate, Josh McDaniels, is likely headed to the Indianapolis Colts.
That would leave the Giants with Pat Shurmur or Steve Wilks, unless they restart their search. Or already have a mystery candidate in mind.
