In the latest edition of the ‘Big Blue Chat’ podcast, Pat Traina and yours truly look at the New York Giants’ head-coaching search.

Pat and I had a relatively lengthy debate over whether the hiring of an offensive- or defensive-minded coach matters. Pat is in the “hire an offensive-minded head coach” camp. I am in the “it makes no difference” camp, with the idea that being able to hire good assistants and gain the respect of the players is more important that the side of the ball the coach comes from.
