The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs gets its start on Saturday afternoon as the Atlanta Falcons travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. The game is slated to start at 4:35 p.m. and can be found on NBC.
The Falcons come into Saturday’s game off a convincing 26-13 win over the Los Angeles Rams last Saturday. Atlanta came into the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoffs, so the upset over the No. 3 seeded Rams came as a surprise. Matt Ryan was terrific in the victory, completing 21-of-30 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. Julio Jones gave the Rams secondary troubles all day, catching nine passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles come in as the No. 1 seed in the NFC, finishing the regular season with a 13-3 record, earning them a first round bye in the NFC playoffs. Nick Foles has had to step in as the Eagles starting quarterback after Carson Wentz tore his ACL against the Rams late in the season. Foles has struggled to play up to Wentz’s standards, passing for only one touchdown to two interceptions over his past two games. In the final game of the regular season against the Dallas Cowboys, Foles was only able to complete 4-of-11 passes for 39 yards and an interception. The play of Foles will be crucial for the Eagles to be able to advance to the NFC Championship next weekend.
The Falcons come into the game as 3point favorites.
