All is right in the world, New York Giants fans! Or, as right as it can be for those of you who are still upset that wide receiver Travis Rudolph is not on the 53-man roster. Per multiple reports, Rudolph has been signed to the Giants’ 10-man practice squad and was on the field Monday as the Giants began preparing for the Dallas Cowboys.
Rudolph, an undrafted free agent from Florida State became a fan favorite during preseason for both his back story and his play. He had nine receptions in preseason for a team-high 157 yards (17.4 yards per catch). The back story, of course includes the viral video of him eating lunch alone with an autistic boy and the death of his father in an accidental shooting right around the time of the 2017 NFL Draft.
The final spot on the practice squad reportedly went to linebacker Nordly “Cap” Capi, who apparently had an outstanding preseason with the Arizona Cardinals.
Is @AZCardinals edge rusher Cap Capi the preseason MVP so far? Another game ball against the Falcons. Recap here: https://t.co/QnMDVlaqE6 pic.twitter.com/oDp7A8HBIi
