The New York Giants have officially listed wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions. Beckham was considered a limited participant in Saturday’s light practice.
Would Beckham again be considered a game-time decision, as he was last week against the Dallas Cowboys when he warmed up but was unable to play?
“We will see how it goes,” said coach Ben McAdoo. “It’s a medical decision. We’re just seeing his level of confidence and where he is sticking his foot in the ground.”
McAdoo was asked how close to fully healthy Beckham needs to be before playing.
“That’s tough to say. The biggest thing is you don’t want to put a player out there that is going to do any harm to himself or injure himself any more than he is,” McAdoo said. “It is an injury. It’s a tough injury. He’s fighting through it and doing everything he can to get back, but we’re going to be smart with him.”
Linebacker Keenan Robinson is the only Giants listed as out.
Right tackle Bobby Hart was a full participant on Saturday and is not listed on the injury report, meaning he can be expected to play.
A pair of Giants who had not previously been on the injury report — middle linebacker B.J. Goodson and reserve offensive lineman D.J. Fluker — sat out practice with leg injuries. Both are listed as questionable for Monday night.
McAdoo said both players came up injured following Friday’s practice.
The only player on Detroit’s injury report is defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, who is questionable with a knee injury.
