Giants At Cowboys Halftime Score: Giants trail, 16-0

The New York Giants trail the Dallas Cowboys, 16-0, at halftime of Sunday’s game. had to depend on their defense in the first half.

A lot.

As we saw in preseason, the Giants’ offensive line, and the right side in particular, was once again holding the entire offense back. Eli Manning has been under siege every time he has dropped back to pass while also largely failing to open anything resembling a hole. By the two-minute warning, the Giants had just a pair of first downs and 42 total yards.

For most of the half the Giants’ defense was stout, holding the Cowboys to just six points for most of the half. However, the Cowboy’s up-tempo offense and the Giants’ own offensive ineptitude lead to fatigue setting in by the end of the first half.

The Giants will get the ball to start the second half, we’ll see if the Giants make a change to jump-start their offense.
